What an Intimacy Coordinator Does

Think of an IC as your "spicy scene" specialist--like a stunt coordinator blended with a movement choreographer but for vulnerable moments. I'm a trained professional who advocates for actors while collaborating with production on scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, and other hyper-exposed moments. I take the pressure off directors and actors so everyone can focus on the story.

When You Need an IC

Any scene with nudity or simulated sex requires an Intimacy Coordinator. You'll also want one for other hyper-vulnerable moments involving intimate or sexualized physical contact. My job is creating an environment where actors know exactly what's expected and can give informed, ongoing consent. No surprises, no awkwardness, just professional collaboration.
